Explore Your Path To College And Career
If the authors could speak to their younger, overwhelmed, and confused selves, they would strongly encourage one another to spend some time with a journal just like this to capture the whole story of where their journeys began. As history sometimes shows us, it’s easier to recall all the rough spots, one-sided conversations, and negative moments in painful detail, and overlook those moments of growth where something magical or tiny-but-significant happened instead. Finding our way to college and careers should hopefully not be a tragic tale, but instead a story of ups and downs with heroic (true or imagined) feats along the way. What if that path is filled with surprises and not all challenges or difficulties? What if the events along the way can be so powerful that they influence the next five to six decades of your life? Let’s go write about that!

Wade Forbes has been drawing since he was a young child. After a career in the arts didn’t quite materialize in college, Wade cut his chops in theater, teaching, and a career in cyber security, as well as training corporate executives in public speaking and leadership skills. After almost 20 years, he’s back to where he feels most comfortable – drawing everyday, while incorporating the critical thinking and design leadership skills he developed along the way. His love for art is matched only by a love for his family and the outdoors. Creating journals is a way for him to share his daily illustrated quotes with the world and spread a little hope each day.
