Fraud has been only increasing in the last few years, causing billions of dollars’ worth of losses to companies and individuals. I will be discussing some of the fraud trends we seeing across the industry. Ways to avoid/prevent banking fraud. The types of transactions seeing the most fraud. I will discuss services that we can put in place to avoid fraud and be proactive instead of reactive. M&T has many fraud preventive services to help clients stop fraud before it happens and there are ways to operate your accounts to prevent it happening in the first place.
Philip Maher, is an Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager with M&T Bank in Columbia, Maryland. He received his Bachelors of Science in Business Management from Salisbury University. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Columbia Festival of the Arts and spends much of his free time volunteering in the arts/entertainment space. He enjoys golfing, live music and spending time with friends and family.
