The Carroll Business Network Education Seminar
Since 2004, Carroll Business Network (a service of Trembling Giant Marketing) has been providing networking and bite-sized education for local business owners and professionals at monthly events at Tony’s Japanese Restaurant. Starting November 9th, 2023, we introduce our new Education Seminar Program; half-day educational seminars provided by experienced and knowledgable industry pros to give you detailed information, and comprehensive action plans to take your business to the next level.
Just like our luncheon events, our seminar programs will be brimming with value, providing you with instruction, roadmaps, resources, direct engagement, and collaborative problem-solving. The events will occur in the presentation room at Trembling Giant Marketing’s offices, and can facilitate up to 24 participants. Our classes are capped at 24 for our space and to provide you with the best opportunity to engage with our presenters.
The seminar classes are $150 per person, and run from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. Snacks and light refreshment are provided, as well as all of the materials you will need. You only have to bring yourself.

It is not enough for you to just have great products or great services for your business to be successful in selling. This workshop will focus in on a few key skill areas which will provide you with knowledge and tools that you will be able to implement immediately, resulting in opening new opportunities, and advancing and closing existing ones.
You will learn specifically how to differentiate your businesses and yourselves from your competitors. You will also learn how to effectively communicate these differences and how to have your prospects acknowledge them. You will learn how to ask questions designed to uncover the ultimate reason your prospects need to solve their situations, giving you the knowledge you need to close the sale. And in the end, you will learn methods to ask for the order utilizing what you learned throughout the sales process.
Your presenter is Phil Whitebloom. He is a sales career professional with over 40 years in business and has sold over $1.5 billion in this time. He started as a field salesperson and has held positions as vice president of sales for Sony where he was the two-time recipient of the “Samurai Award”. Sony’s most covenant recognition of achievement. In addition to this multi-billion-dollar company, he has also held sales leadership positions for companies ranging in size from $3 million to $200 million. He sold to a diverse and broad number of markets from government to Fortune 500 companies across the Americas while representing companies from the U.S., Japan, France, and Israel. He is also proud of the diversity over the years of his salespeople and his ability to retain them.
