Kimberley Karlsen has been working in the interior design field as a Professional Interior Designer since 1986, designing for residential and commercial clients in Canada and on the East and West coasts of the United States. Kimberley is a graduate of Seneca College of Applied Arts & Technology in Toronto, Canada, and of Berkeley College of Business in New York with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Science Interior Design. Working in the New York area allowed Kimberley insight into cutting edge interior design as well as allowing her to get an additional degree with a minor in Construction Management. Working on the West Coast enabled Kimberley to master the impact nature has on design. She also worked with several of the major designers in Baltimore before opening her own interior design company, Misguided Angel Designs, in Glyndon, Maryland in 2003.

When is hiring an Interior Designer a good idea? A good interior designer will help clients with space planning and scale. They provide coordination with contractors on project timelines. A project architect look at big picture space – designers look at the small picture, the details and aesthetic. A strong interior designer will provide increased function of your space through discussions you about your space needs, and having that support can actually SAVE you money purchasing for a project. Your timelines are more efficient and your solutions look good and are more practical. Having that professional designer as a part of a team provides solutions for both residential and commercial projects.
